CMOS+X: 3D Integration of CMOS Spiking Neurons with AlBN/GaN-based Ferroelectric HEMT toward an Artificial Somatosensory System
A high-school research placement exploring an energy-efficient artificial somatosensory system that converts sensory input into neural-like spike signals. Reviewed 20+ peer-reviewed papers on neuromorphic computing and ferroelectric devices, and assisted with P-V, PUND, and I-V characterization of FeHEMT devices — including switching-endurance tests reaching roughly 10⁷ cycles.

Integrating a Federated Split Neural Network with Artificial Stereoscopic Compound Eyes for Optical Flow Sensing in 3D Space with Precision
Supported both hardware and software for an insect-inspired stereoscopic compound eye that tracks 3D motion with very little power. Measured I–V characteristics of InGaAs photodiodes and HfO₂ ReRAM devices, ran ray-tracing and field-of-view tests on dome-shaped microlens arrays, and processed 16×16 optical-flow output grids to analyze movement.

Comparison of Hybrid and Single Dyes for DSSCs: Fabrication, Efficiency, and Economic Evaluation
A review comparing hybrid and single-dye systems in dye-sensitized solar cells across power-conversion efficiency, bandgap, recombination, and cost. Shows that hybrid dye systems can raise PCE retention to about 94% after 1,000 hours of testing, versus a 22% drop for single-anchor systems, while lowering the levelized cost of electricity.

New Materials for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells: Recent Advances, Efficiency Enhancements, and Future Prospects
A solo-authored review tracing how photoanode, dye, electrolyte, and counter-electrode materials have advanced DSSC performance — from nanostructured TiO₂ to solid-state electrolytes — and where machine-learning-aided material discovery may take the field next.

- FOR PEOPLE
Building and repairing, aimed at someone specific
Shimteoro (쉼터로)
Not just a shelter locator. Shimteoro cross-references location, extreme heat or cold advisories, whether a shelter is actually open, walking-risk zones, and bus accessibility to recommend the nearest shelter an elderly person can safely reach right now. Built with large text, voice search, minimal taps, one-touch calling, and guardian sharing for users unfamiliar with smartphones. Designed first for cities like Yongin and Seongnam, where new-town, old-town, and rural living conditions mix and mobility gaps are large — with a longer-term goal of covering all 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province.
APPS
Namoom-ui Saem (나눔의 샘)
A crowdfunding platform built alongside a self-founded nonprofit, connecting donors with communities in underserved countries. Extends the same instinct behind Shimteoro — meeting a real, specific need — to a global scale.
IN-PERSON VOLUNTEERING
Nursing home equipment repair
Weekly volunteer visits to a nursing home, repairing wheelchairs and daily-use equipment for elderly residents on the spot. The most hands-on version of the same idea running through every project here: find what's broken for someone who needs it fixed, and fix it in front of them.

Where engineering meets the business behind it
Wemeet Mobility — business & market research internship
Studied Wemeet Mobility's IR materials and its B2B logistics SaaS platform, ROOUTY — a dynamic-routing TMS with a cold-chain monitoring product and an installation-logistics expansion, Roouty Plus. Independently formulated six in-depth interview questions on regulatory response, competitive positioning against Kakao Mobility and Naver, and growth risk, gaining a clearer view of how a hardware-adjacent SaaS company builds and defends its business.
